Why Cooking Is Good for Kids

Learning through doing (experiential learning)

As they measure ingredients, follow recipes, and prepare dishes, children practice math, language, and critical thinking skills, while also learning basic science concepts.

They broaden their horizons (cultural education)

Exposure to flavors and ingredients from different cuisines and cultures enhances imagination, self-confidence and encourages personal expression.

They learn to cooperate.

Through group activities, patience, responsibility and respect for others are cultivated, developing teamwork and communication skills.

They build healthy eating habits (healthy nutrition in schools)

By cooking for themselves, children develop a positive relationship with food, learn basic hygiene rules, and acquire life skills that will accompany them forever.
